#NOFARMERSNOFOOD

Chaman mein ikhtilat-e- rangoboo se baat banti hai hum hi hum hain toh kya hum hain tum hi tum ho toh kya tum ho These lines by poet Aziz Nabeel were immortalised on screen by Sunny Deol in film border ... If we look at these lines beyond the film dialogue, these lines for me have always stood as testimony of togetherness...its in the same tune of "United we stand", Divided we Fall". Today as we witness a Bharat Bandh, there are institution who have come together to support our farmers and then there are people and institution who are skeptical and don't want to be seen being associated with our farmers, our food givers.

We are living in tough times where dissent doesnt have a voice, any dissent is crushed to suit the palate of the ruling regime.

But remember, history is going to judge us if we don't stand for the cause of our farmers, for the cause of our country, our countrymen, our families, our children because today is not going to only impact our tomorrow but our future generations...

Do we want the freedom of our food to be packaged and sold to us, the freedom to choose and eat, the freedom to buy what we want, the freedom to cook what we like or what we desire...

And most important, freedom to the farmers to what they grow .....what suits their land, what benefits them..

Today might look like any Bharat Bandh but this is one of the bandh not favouring a political party but helping make a strong case for people like you and me.

Farmers have been agitating for last two months in Punjab, last few days from various borders of Delhi and across country, they are protesting in unholy cold weather, away from their families, struggling with a smile, singing songs to keep evil thoughts at bay, holding each other's hand and hoping that India stands WITH THEM FOR THEM because if we don't we will be letting down our #FoodGivers the people who provide what we eat and cook.

Dont disapoint them

Be with them in times when they need our support, crossing beyond political lines...

They need our emotional and political support today

Its a choice you make today for yourself and for your family..

Will our food come from green farmlands of our farmers or from the huge stock godowns of big business corporates...

Dont let India give birth to Monsanto...

A factory, a corporation cannot and should not feed the nation ...

Farmers should, its their will and their choice of work, they have cared for the land for years

Their care of motherland yields goodness of grains and vegetation to us...

Be with them in hour they need us .....Kyunki ... aise

hi "mere dish ki Dharti sona nahi ugalti", the land has to beloved and cared like a child for it to churn the goodness it does..

Chaman mein ikhtilat-e- rangoboo ( colour and Fragrance) se baat banti hai, hum hi hum hain toh kya hum hain tum hi tum ho toh kya tum ho
